Bars and Restaurants in Paphos

For a great night out in Paphos, just think of the kind of bar that suits you best, and you'll find it! There is actually a street called Bar Street, (official name is Psodhones) and a wander along here will give you such a wide choice, you'll need a fortnight just to check them all out...

Paphos Nightclubs

Sometimes it's hard to tell where bars end and nightclubs in Paphos begin. Each season new clubs spring up and others fall from favour, so its best to ask the locals where they recommend. Names that will probably be mentioned will be the Rainbow Club in Kato Pafos, Notos Bar at Paphos harbour, the Hollywood Music Bar, Woodys Music Bar nearby, the Glamour Club, Robin Hood (looks for the medieval castle!), Red Cube at Tomb of the Kings, the Geometry Club and the Topaz Club. For a more chilled-out vibe, try the Lighthouse Beach Bar in Kato Paphos, or dance the summer night away at the enormous Barrio del Mar, at Yeroskipo Beach.

Live Music in Paphos, Cyprus

The live music scene in Paphos really comes to life during the holiday season, but even in the winter there's always live music playing somewhere in town. For example, every Sunday you'll find live soul and blues at Pizza Express at Paphos harbour has every Sunday, and live bands at The Prince on Tombs of the Kings Road.

There is also a surprising amount of classical music, including concerts by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and international artists performing as part of various festivals, and of course the open-air opera at the Paphos Aphrodite Festival in September.

Live Theatre in Paphos

Regular open-air cultural events take place in the Medieval Castle Square in Paphos, and the Roman Odeon plays host to a month long Ancient Greek Drama Festival. Several hotels and larger bars play host to cabarets and 'songs from the shows' type performances throughout the holiday season.

Traditional Cypriot folk music can be heard at several Cypriot restaurants in Paphos and 'Cypriot nights' at Paphos hotels.

Films in Paphos, Cyprus

Cinemas in Paphos include the Cine Orasis, the Othellos Cinema, and the Revekka Cinema. Always check beforehand that films you want to see are subtitled in Greek and not dubbed, - unless you speak Greek of course...
